What you?ll doAs a Senior iOS Apps Systems Engineer , you will work with a team of engineers and designers to bring great iOS App enabled products and ecstatic user experiences to life in support of multiple business units & product families. Must be able to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines while leading a team of local as well as offshore developers throughout the entire PDLC. Will be working on products in the consumer electronics, mobile applications, and energy conservation spaces. This is a Sr./team lead position and will be reporting directly to the Director of Software Engineering.
How you?ll do it
Expert (SME) in current as well as near future (e.g. iOS 6) mobile & tablet platforms primarily covering the iOS and Android ecosystems.
Able to assess and lead technical design, feasibility, planning & coordination, and partner/vendor selection
Intimate knowledge and hands on experience with the Objective-C, iOS SDK, it?s libraries, app store submission in?s and out?s (incl. MFI), tips and tricks, etc.
Proven experience with the management and responsibility over technical execution of the full SDLC of mobile apps and mobile app enhanced products.
Ability to roll up the sleeves and jump right into development, troubleshooting, etc. as needed to help the team succeed.
Expert in iOS development environments (e.g. xcode) and associated tools
Great communication skills both written as well as verbal required
Must be capable of collaborating with business leaders, customers, product design and management teams as well as engineering staff.
What you?ll need
Passion for ecstatic user experiences and the highest quality standards
3+ years of prior Sr. development or team/tech lead experience in iOS app development absolutely necessary
5+ years of experience in software development
Well versed in principles of object oriented design, design patterns, API?s, and industry standards a must
Well versed and experienced in Agile development methodologies & it?s principles a must.
A portfolio of commercially available apps in the Apple App Store a must.
What you?ve done
Passion for high quality design for products that are both usable and cool - should be able to work efficiently alongside both creative and application development teams
Knowledge of upcoming platforms such as iOS 6, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, etc.
Passion for researching new trends and technologies in the mobile platform space
Experience coding apps that meet accessibility standards
Experience coding globalized mobile apps that work smoothly in multiple languages and other localization requirements
Experience designing and developing apps that access cloud resource
