NetSpend is hiring a Senior IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Internal Audit. This is your opportunity to assist the department leader in enhancing the function by providing increased value to the business. This position will require an energetic person who is willing to take on a challenge, employ a flexible approach and can navigate complex business issues.
Responsible for working independently on own projects, as well as acting as leader/mentor to less experienced auditors on the team.
Responsibilities include developing audit scope, evaluating technical and business risk, preparing work plans, performing and documenting audit test work, developing meaningful and/or value-add recommendations, conducting meetings, giving presentations and assisting with internal departmental activities as required.
Responsibilities also include promoting good working relationships with associates and leaders within Information Technology and other divisions.
Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems or related field. Strong preference for Master?s Degree in business or systems.
Big 4/public accounting experience strongly preferred.
Completed Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification or willing to obtain certification. Other certifications a plus. (CPA, CIA, etc?)
Accounting background beneficial
A minimum of 5 years IT Audit experience is required.
Solid understanding of IS audit concepts (i.e. COBIT and ITIL) and the audit process is required.
Strong analytical skills and capabilities of exercising good judgment in assessing business and audit risk.
Self-confidence and strong communication skills are necessary. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact and obtain cooperation from the business from whom information is required, to discuss risks, work, and findings with area team, department leaders and to interact with executive management in communicating area issues and problems.
Ability to document technologies and IT general controls, flowchart process flows, evaluate existence and adequacy of controls and design tests to evaluate those controls.
Must be able to execute tests, including using automation tools were appropriate for testing.
Knowledge and understanding of IT functions, organizational structures and typical risks in an IT environment are necessary.
Hands-on experience with relevant technologies (e.g Oracle EBS, Oracle databases, Hyperion) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Must have sufficient experience and understanding of technology to grasp new concepts and make meaningful recommendations.
Individual must demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and/or acquire new skills.
Requires understanding of systems development methodologies and must be able to evaluate controls in automated systems.
Must possess strong problem solving skills.
