Senior Java Developer

SUMMARY:

As a key participant on the Research & Development team, the Senior Java Developer will be part of our core team responsible for designing and developing Infor's supply chain planning applications, covering demand planning, advanced planning and scheduling (APS) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Analyze complex technical specifications and translate them into proven software solutions, including unit test coverage.

· Provide input into the application architecture and development technologies.

· Provide feedback on development processes and guidelines.

· Provide assistance with problem resolution and testing.

· Be part of an international (multi-location/language/culture) Agile development environment (Scrum) to develop applications.

· Manage workload effectively with reliable estimates.

· Contribute to a positive team environment with a focus on learning

Required Skills:

• Undergraduate in Computer Science or related field or comparable education.
• Proven and demonstrable problem solving skills.
• Minimum of 10 years experience working with software development.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working with Java based technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Java: Spring, Hibernate, Ajax, XML and SQL (advanced queries).
• Advanced knowledge of application servers primarily Tomcat.
• Advanced knowledge of database connectivity and integration (Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server).
• Familiarity with the Eclipse IDE, Hudson, SVN, Maven
• Proven track record of successful management of resources and timelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written a must.
• Experience with the production of applications that function on multiple browsers, platforms and versions.
