Position Profile:
At its core, LRN is about changing the culture of the business world. We come up with innovative ideas about how to change culture, some/most of which are using software. The development team builds and maintains most of that software.
Day-to-day work consists of discussing, implementing and maintaining the design, development and testing of single components or entire sections of an application. They will be working with business analysts, designers, database administrators and the quality assurance team every day.
We are very team oriented so the ability and drive to respectfully provide suggestions, compromises and arguments is a must. This will be useful in all aspects of LRNs culture.
Required Technical Skills:
? 5-7+ years of professional hands on java development
? Proficient in J2EE technologies and experience working in SOA environment
? Strong database and SQL skills
? Experience working with Spring/Hibernate is a plus
? Experience working with javascript/AJAX/3rdparty frameworks is a plus
? A good understanding of PHP and ZEND framework is a plus
? Propose, design, develop and implement the best solution to the business requirements
? Self-managed with ability to mentor others
They should be familiar with working in a SCRUM environment and what that means to their responsibilities. The candidate will be expected to be able to break down their work into tasks for sprints, and estimate those tasks.
