We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our innovative product development team. You will have the opportunity to design and build new applications to enable information sharing across traditionally isolated teams and networks. Position Duties & Responsibilities
BlueSpace values the willingness and ability to learn and adapt above all. The ideal candidate will also possess 8+ years of Java development experience and be passionate about helping our customers solve information-sharing problems.
You should be confident in working directly with our partners and customers. Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
The role will report directly to the company's VP of Engineering, and will provide an exciting opportunity to develop and grow. Duties include:
--Full application Java development
--Developing and testing new products
--Understanding and implementation of security requirements
--Working directly with customers as necessary
Position Requirements
--US Citizenship; ability to hold a US security clearance
--Demonstrable prior experience and proficiency with Java and other Object Oriented programming languages, such as C++ or C#
--Web toolkit proficiency with Spring + GWT and event-driven web technology
--HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript
--Capability to perform both back-end and front-end development
--Experience with Agile, Scrum, OOA/D, UML, and Test-Driven Development methodologies
--Ability to lead and take ownership for a project and work independently
Desired Skills
--ESB experience
--Unix shell or Windows PowerShell scripting
--Experience with installation and configuration of webservers and authentication
--Windows domain and Active Directory administration
--Programming, installation, configuration, and administration of a RDBMS
--Ability to write technical specifications and documentation

Experience / Education
8+ years experience in the above skills
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
United States Citizenship is required. Background Check is required.
Relocation Assistance
BlueSpace will provide financial assistance to offset the cost of relocation to Austin.
