Senior Kernel Engineer FastSoft

The kernel development team is all about speed and scalability. Our software runs on the Intel Nehalem architecture and employs the latest techniques in SMP and networking stack implementation to accelerate some of the key web sites on the Internet. Our goal is to run our software on any (decent) hardware or scale

The Kernel TCP Developer is responsible for design, development and maintenance of core FastSoft acceleration technologies. Job duties include the design and review of product requirements, design and implementation of acceleration techniques, building tools and frameworks for debugging/testing/optimizations, and active participation in trials and customer support to develop insight into further refining the product.

Job Requirements:

- Experience in designing and developing TCP/IP protocols
- Mastery in C and know either Python or sh
- Ability to clearly communicate a key quality to being a superior developer
- Strong hands-on knowledge of FreeBSD/Linux kernel internals
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies
- Creativity in solving hard problems.
- Flexible and possession the ability to context switch on demand.
