Senior Level Systems Engineer Micronics
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for leading and facilitating efforts among multi-functional teams to
advance products from the concept stage through deployment. Position reports to Vice President level and works
closely with other key internal and external team members.
Primary Responsibilities :
? Responsible for overall system implementation and design of hardware, software to process biological
samples / disposables;
? Facilitates project definition and monitors deliverables across multi-functional teams, including assay
development, disposable development, instrument (hardware/software) development, regulatory,
? Recommends project corrective action, establishes decision metrics, and follows through on group or
individual performance directly and with department heads;
? Coordinates full scope delivery of integrated systems ? from concept to commercial;
? Ensures design outputs meet design inputs;
? Ensures documented processes for transfer to manufacturing;
? The Senior Systems Engineer enhances the adoption of seamless integration paths, leading to product
development efforts that are on schedule, within budget, and without latent defects.
? Other duties as required.
? Strong leadership skills.
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
? Solid understanding of medical device design controls, standards, and regulations including ISO 13485 and
21 CFR 820.
? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
? Good decision making and problem solving skills.
Experience and Education :
? Must have a demonstrated track record of success for a minimum of 6-7 years in developing and executing
effective product design through coordinating and facilitating efforts of cross-functional teams.
? Must have been involved with at least one product from conceptualization to commercialization.
? B.S. degree in System Engineering or related technical discipline.
? Life science degree or background helpful
? Medical device /diagnostics experience preferred
