The Role
As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will design, build and control production systems and networks, which includes the configuration of production equipment, including but not limited to servers and our network.
Setup monitoring services
Setup and maintain servers and network
Monitor company infrastructure, at colo and in the office
Assist in capacity planning
The successful candidate for this role will have the following attributes:
8+ years of related experience with website operations is required; this includes experience with high volume/high traffic web sites
Linux OS and Apache experience required
5+ years with RedHat and with automation and cloud tools
MYSQL adm experience is a plus
Working knowledge of TCP IP, networking and DNS highly desirable
Working knowledge of web application and web site support
Experience with Cisco IOS
Experience with Memcache/Redis a plus
Cloud computing experience a plus
Strong scripting experience in shell, Perl or Python fluency a plus
Experience with process automation using scripting languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated history of solving real-world problems
Demonstrated success working with small or 'startup' firms is highly desired
BS, MS, in Computer Science or related discipline
