Description:
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Senior Malware Research Engineer to work as a member of Application and Threat Research Team. This position will work on malware reverse engineering, malware automated analysis systems, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Researching and analyzing a wide array of different malware, esepcially zero-day malware and APT and target attack.
- Write analysis reports/blogs/papers and produce anti-malware signatures
- Design and implement tools and systems to improve the malware analysis process and extract command and control data from bots.
Qualifications:
- Experience with IDA or equivalent disassembly tools
- Experience with OllyDbg or WinDbg or equivalent system-level debuggers is a must.
- Has at least 3 years experience of malware analysis, and has a solid understanding of malware, exploits and shell code.
- Knowledge of various files formats (eg. PE, ELF) and operating systems (eg. Win32, Linux, MacOS)
- Deep Knowledge of Windows architecture and Windows internals.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and HTTP
