The Director, Landing Page Optimization is expected to set-up, create and execute landing page tests on behalf of assigned clients to achieve goals and objectives. This position requires a candidate that excels in management, client service, design principles and analytics. The right candidate must be enthusiastic, pro-active, detail-oriented, and a hardworking professional able to work well both in a team-oriented, client-focused environment and as an individual self-starter.
Primary Responsibilities:
Drive the leadership and strategy for the Landing Page Optimization department focused on executing landing page tests (A/B testing) and conversion path optimization (multivariate testing) for clients
Serve as team expert for landing page optimization, The Search Agency?s tools and technology, account management, testing processes and analytics.
Manage a book of business consisting of assigned clients? website testing efforts.
Perform pre analysis of websites and landing pages by reviewing available analytics as well as applying knowledge of web marketing best practices.
Suggest areas for optimization for both organic and paid referring traffic
Create marketing strategies for testing and develop unique messaging
Write subject test plans (A/B and multivariate) and provide recommendations on copy, images, layouts, and offers that will help to increase conversion as per the client?s business objectives.
Work with the design team to create web pages, ensure the html coding meets quality standards, work with the technical lead to set up, QA, and launch all test environments
Produce detailed campaign performance analysis, develop PowerPoint presentations and suggest next steps based upon learnings.
Develop timelines, manage client expectations, and navigate through issues
Recruiting, hiring and training of direct report staff, as needed.
Represent team on cross functional projects and in cross-divisional meetings.
Responsible for special projects as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:
At least four years of online marketing experience.
Deep experience and understanding of website testing and optimization processes.
Proven history of managing a team to successfully attain or exceed aggressive goals.
Outstanding leadership skills, including lead by example management style.
Ability to multi task and juggle a variety of clients (across different verticals) in any given day and meet all deadlines.
Ability to work cross functionally with shared resources throughout the company as well as Account Managers across other business units.
Team player ? always willing to work towards the benefit of the team.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, MBA a plus.
Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
Strong analytical experience.
Previous P&L responsibility a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Professional demeanor.
Desired Skills include:
Ideally, you are an online marketer with the ability to work with web designers, web developers, and IT and an understanding of SEM, SEO, Display media and analytics.
Both A/B and Multivariate testing experience including strategy development of those tests and experience with Optimizely, Google Website Optimizer, Sitespect, Offermatica, Optimost, or other test platforms a huge plus.
Problem identifier and solver.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
