As our Senior Product Marketing Manager - Enterprise, based in our offices in San Mateo, CA; Broomfield, CO; or San Diego, CA, you will lead the introduction of a brand new product into a newly developing market and drive each piece of the marketing plan to ensure that the initiative is successful. In addition, you must be passionate about marketing technology products and services, highly collaborative, and results driven. You will work with various internal teams to identify target audience, positioning, segment-specific message/content to the market, voice and critical business issues, and determine the best methods to communicate in a compelling manner to the intended audience. Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to define and create systems as opposed to modifying or leveraging existing practices in this rapidly growing market. Serving as a technical translator, effective communication and expert finesse when explaining technology is absolutely necessary.
Go-to-Market Strategy- Partnering with appropriate stakeholders, create the go-to-market plan for a new enterprise-focused security service. Elements of this plan will include target customers, mapping buying behavior to marketing programs, identifying and prioritizing customers pain points with Webroot?s differentiators, defining routes to market, pricing strategy, and marketing mix
Product Messaging/Positioning- Develop the ?story? as well as the positioning and messaging for this new service. Create core messaging documents to drive marketing program execution, and review deliverables to ensure content is on message
Sales and Marketing Enablement- Develop and deliver content for sales training, assist in development of sales tools and marketing assets such as presentations and whitepapers, evaluate program and promotion opportunities, and serve as a key partner to the sales and marketing teams to drive business growth
Competitive Analysis- Closely monitor marketplace for competitive moves. Identify competitive differentiation, and work with the global Sales and Marketing teams to communicate advantages through development competitive matrices, battle-cards, and other tools
Pricing- Develop pricing strategies, monitor competitive pricing in major markets, and ensure Webroot is positioned to achieve its business objectives
Evangelism- As a key market and product expert, you will develop and deliver product presentations, webinars, and briefings to channel, industry analysts, and press audiences. You must be able to communicate an understanding of the challenges facing IT security executives, explain highly technical functionally to both technical experts and novices, and clearly articulate Webroot?s business value
Market Requirements- Partnering with Product Management, identify and champion customer/market requirements within the product roadmap planning process
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in a business or technical discipline required; MBA strongly preferred
8-12 years of business experience, with 6-8 years of strong product marketing or product management experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
Must have significant experience in analyzing market conditions and developing go-to-market plans
Must have excellent writing skills and a strong ability to translate technical advantages into customer benefits
Highly collaborative and able to partner effectively with both technical and field sales teams
Must be able to work both at a strategic and tactical level in order to get the job done
Must possess a passion for customers, and an unflinching desire to exceed their expectations
