Role Definition

This position is responsible for helping ISVs integrate with APS and our service delivery platform and successfully delivering our Marketplace solutions, enabling ISVs to access over 5000+ cloud service provider partners. This position will work closely with a number of internal and external technical stakeholders.

APS is the leading cloud based application packaging standard and allows ISVs to access service providers offering apps and services with automated provisioning, configuration and billing. An ISV can utilize APS to grow its business substantially with access to 5000+ Parallels Service Provider Partners. Parallels Marketplace is a portfolio of high potential apps and services with an added layer of features designed to accelerate go-to-market such as pre-negotiated distribution contracts, turn-key support terms, marketing-in-a-box campaigns and storefront design services, allowing service providers to launch a branded marketplace in days.

Responsibilities

• Work with business development to assist with ISV recruitment, assisting ISVs in understanding how APS works and what it will take to package their offering in APS
• Work with ISVs to help them understand the architectural choices they have to optimally package their offering to meet user experience and business model needs
• Primary point of contact for ISVs in the process of packaging in APS or integrating with internal Marketplace systems
• Primary point of contact for Parallels Professional Services team during customer deployments of Marketplace
• Document best practices in deploying Parallels Marketplaces and Cloud Applications
• Troubleshoot APS packaging and Marketplace issues based on a deep understanding of customer and partner requirements and our delivery capabilities
• Influence future versions of the APS specification and Marketplace systems and architecture based on customer and partner feedback
• Understand Parallels product capabilities and effectively communicate benefits and opportunities to potential partners
• This position is based in Seattle, WA area and will require occasional domestic and international travel

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of customer or partner facing technical experience, preferably in a technical alliance or sales engineering role
• Track record of work with 3^rd party software vendors to deliver complex solutions to service providers
• Basic familiarity with REST, SOAP, XML, PHP, and .NET technologies
• Deep understand of cloud computing technology and the hosting market
• Understanding of automated order fulfillment platforms, CSP Billing Support Systems and Operations Support Systems is a plus
• Strong project management skills with experience managing cross group projects across multiple geographies and cultures
• B.S. from top-tier school in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
