The successful candidate in this position will support financial planning and analysis for the company?s finance organization by partnering with multiple leaders and their teams. The individual will work with organizations across the company to build detailed operational budgets and forecasts, conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide ongoing financial and operational analysis support to the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for performance measurements of the organization, including key operating metrics, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis and acquisition analysis.
Manage key aspects of the periodic forecasting and budgeting processes, including financial planning and modeling, and business plan development.
Deliver value-added business analyses and report financial and operational metrics.
Act as project manager for the budget process.
Lead monthly expense reporting and analysis.
Create, implement and produce monthly reporting package that includes full financial statements, comprehensive KPI reporting, operational Dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, and comprehensive, executive-level explanations of variances and trends.
Advise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performance.
Lead development and enhancement of market and competitive analysis.
Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, R&D initiatives and long-term contracts.
Review, analyze and compare monthly and quarterly operating department financial results and key performance indicators against plan and other internal benchmarks, including working capital and cash flow analysis.
Provide financial analysis around business expense reduction initiatives and capital expenditures.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex financial reports, statements, and/or projections, and a high proficiency in financial modeling (P/L, cash flows, and balance sheet).
Knowledge of a cost accounting environment. Candidate doesn?t need to have an extensive background in cost accounting only to be familiar with communicating with cost accountants.
Must be highly skilled in MS Office Suite, ERP tools, planning and management reporting tools. Direct experience with NetSuite, TM1 or Hyperion preferred.
Deep data-mining and modeling expertise.
The ability to consult and advise business leaders on a range of issues related to accounting, financial reporting, strategic opportunities, internal control, and regulatory matters.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver strategic messages to senior leaders.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items; strong analytical skills.
Hands-on, ?in the trenches? style with ability to drive projects to closure.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or relevant experience required, MBA or CPA preferred
At least five years related experience and/or training
Financial experience with Marketing and Sales organizations
