Zend is expanding its sales team and seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, Global Channel Partner Program to double the revenue contribution from its existing regional System integrator/VAR partners, and to expand its partner program to include cloud hosting partners. This growth will be driven by newly released software solutions and the value they deliver to partners and customers. Ideally this position will be based at HQ in Cupertino, CA and will report to the VP, WW Field Operations.
The ideal candidate will be a highly driven individual with a track record of Channels-related success. His/her responsibilities will include refining Zend?s partner program, and managing/recruiting a targeted group of regional Systems Integrator partners (developing PHP applications on the Linux, Windows and IBM System I platforms) to meet revenue and profit goals. The role will focus on partner recruitment, partner & sales enablement, pipeline management and forecasting, as well as proactive business planning and business development with our partners. Job Description:
Refine the Zend Solution Partner Program
Build, maintain, and recruit top tier regional partners and execution plan for their success
Key Partner focus on System Integrators (SIs) (developing PHP applications on the Linux, Windows and IBM System I platforms)
Manage partner pipelines and work with sales team to ensure partner sales execution against leads
Work with partners to create well-defined Business Plans (include revenue goals and go-to-market plans)
Educate, Enable and evangelize Zend Solutions to partner sales teams
Enable existing partners sales and technical teams to position and sell Zend Software/Services, comply with training and certification requirements
Drive strategic SI relationships and primary liaison for global channel partners
Establish a regular communication channel with all partners: newsletters, update calls, ?
Work with Zend sales teams as the Partner ?Expert? to optimize sales efforts and generate leverage, opportunity and revenue
Leverage regional Zend sales teams to support recruitment and in-region activity
Manage joint Zend/Partner marketing opportunities
Work with partners on business development activities
Participate in joint Marketing events
Leverage Zend?s marketing team on business development and lead generation campaigns
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business or Marketing strongly preferred
10+ years experience in technology software sales and channel management/business development required
Previous experience meeting and exceeding revenue targets by managing, selling to and selling through channel partners
Experience with creating and implementing partner programs from scratch
Proven track record developing partner ecosystems from ground level
Strong visionary with channel operation and development experience
Proven ability to identify new partners, create and execute go-to-market plans, execute partner agreements and drive net-new sales
Global experience, especially working with partners in Europe and APAC
Successfully worked with sales teams and partners to execute sales and territory plans
Experience selling application servers and developers tools a plus (JBoss, mySQL, Oracle, Weblogic, Wily, Websphere, Rational, ?)
Having worked at companies like Oracle, BEA, Borland a plus
Experience with regional cloud hosting partners a plus
Experience selling within a software as service subscription based model a plus
Proven experience in consultative sales and relationship building
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Effective written and verbal skills
Strong customer facing and public presentation skills
Strong organization skills
Outgoing individual contributor, self-motivated, organized, creative, deal maker with a can do attitude
