Responsible for providing strategic and tactical Human Resource support to assigned client groups by providing consultation and delivery of HR programs and services. The role will work in partnership with members of management in assigned client groups in developing and executing strategies and programs to attract top talent to the Company and retain, develop, and motivate highly experienced, talented professionals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide consultation and delivery of HR programs and services that contribute to establishing department strategies and plans, and resolving business challenges
Partners with c commercial leadership to ensure all talent, reward, and organization development practices are delivered effectively.
Manage recruitment function for client group that demands a high degree of direct sourcing, proactive networking in the industry, and managing of multiple search firms and agencies that contribute to the achievement of organizational staffing requirements
Partner with hiring managers in developing recruitment and sourcing strategies. Assist hiring managers in the candidate selection and offer process.
Educate and advise management on effective application of Avanirs compensation philosophy and programs.
Provide leadership in employee relations issues. Work with managers and employees in identifying and addressing performance related issues.
Provide coaching and support to managers on corrective action matters
Collaborate with business partners in the development and implementation of needed department and individual development programs by integrating learning principles, leadership competencies, and core job functions
Development of career development programs to include training, assessments, individual development plans, programs to identify high-potential associates, mentorship, on-boarding of new employees, etc.
Contribute to the development of change management company initiatives
Interpret policies and provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees concerning work related issues.
Educate and support management in the successful implementation of Avanir's performance management policies and programs.
Identify key trends in the business supported and collaborate with members of HR team to provide recommendations and solutions.
Prepares a wide variety of complex written materials (e.g. plans, budgets, investigative reports, analyses, procedures) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions
Support and manage HR projects and programs as assigned
8+ years experience as a dedicated HR Business Partner / Generalist to a large function with both office and field-based personnel (i.e. Commercial) with a strong background in the core HR functions. Must have experience supporting senior management and field-based personnel.
Experience in biotech / pharmaceutical industry highly preferred
Experience in the active management and involvement in the recruitment function and/or experience at an executive search firm highly preferred
Strong project management skills (the ability to document and communicate project plans, monitor work in progress, achieve project milestones/end results for others to understand)
Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, high-impact, professional learning & development programs.
Experience in group facilitation, coaching and leading teams /organizations in performance improvement strategies that result in higher performance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Works effectively with all levels of associates, from non-management to executive
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Bachelors Degree Required, Advanced degree preferred
