The Senior Manager, I.T. Network & Technical Services reports to the Senior Director, I.T. Infrastructure & Operations and has global responsibility for Good Technology?s local/wide area networks, wireless environments, remote access, security platforms, servers, storage, backup infrastructures and Windows System Administration functions. This position is focused on internal IT service delivery for all employees. This position interacts directly with all I.T. functional areas (e.g. Helpdesk/Desktop Support, Risk & Compliance, and Business Information Systems) as well as with Engineering and Product Management. The successful candidate must provide strong leadership and direction, possess a strong technical foundation, excel at multi-tasking and have the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment. The candidate must have a combination of hands-on management experience and in-depth technical skills.
Ensure the prioritization and scheduling of all Network and Windows System Administration projects and tasks.
Ensure all problems/failures are entered into Track IT trouble ticketing system and initiate Change Requests when changes must be made to Production systems.
Serve as an escalation point and ensure timely resolution of Network and Windows issues.
Oversee the support, administration and maintenance of all security services & appliances, firewalls, wireless, remote access and LAN/WAN components.
Manage the configuration, deployment and maintenance for all mission critical systems including Exchange, web servers, application servers and database servers.
Manage and oversee preventative maintenance of Windows, network and security hardware/software environments.
Lead the team in the evaluation of hardware/software solutions and provide the technical direction and guidance.
Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving network efficiency, effectiveness and reliability.
Oversee SOX control testing and compliance for areas of responsibility.
Implement processes and procedures to ensure effective monitor is implemented to aid in the proactive identification and resolution of potential problems.
Manage and coordinate on-call rotation to ensure appropriate support coverage.
Direct participation in the development of the annual I.T. budget and quarterly forecasting of I.T. spending.
Conduct personnel performance reviews, provide coaching and mentoring of direct reports.
Perform interviews and hiring of new staff members.
Assess team member skills and identify appropriate training to address knowledge gaps.
Lead supplier negotiations and directly participate in contract negotiations
Participate in creating a culture of transparency, accountability and agility.
Minimum of 8 years management experience in high-tech industry designing, implementing and managing IT network, security and Windows solutions.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, make decisions and solve problems while under pressure.
Experience developing and implementing processes, metrics, policies, run books and other documentation.
Proven track record of project planning, management and execution.
Ability to think strategically, act tactically and deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines.
Possess a broad knowledge of current developments in network/security industries and able to apply these to business issues.
Must possess hands-on experience with a variety of Cisco LAN/WAN platforms, Cisco firewalls, Cisco SSL/VPN, Cisco wireless and Cisco VoIP.
Experience with DNS/DHCP and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and their application in a global company.
Experienced with Microsoft Active Directory, Server 2008 & 2012, Exchange 2010, Bind and Wins.
Also experienced with VMware and EMC storage solutions.
Highly desirable the candidate possess experience with a variety of management platforms ? Solarwinds, Cacti, PRTG and Host Monitor.
Working knowledge of Qualys vulnerability management services, Blue Coat ProxySG and ProxyAV appliances.
Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership, development and organizational skills.
Ability to oversee and partner with key vendors and suppliers.
Travel for this position is estimated to be 15 percent.
