Gilt Groupe is seeking a Senior Manager for its Kids business, which is positioned for significant growth in the years ahead. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for delivering overall demand for the division by leveraging consumer insights to develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans for sale events and brand partnerships. S/he will play a critical role in delivering measurable lifts to revenue (e.g. traffic, conversion, new customers) to help establish Gilt as an industry leader.
S/he must have the business depth to interface with Gilt executives and build successful relationships with partners across functions (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Finance). Outstanding writing and presentation skills and a strong eye for detail are required. S/he should be innovative, team-oriented, and an effective communicator, as well as have the desire to participate in a fast-paced, start-up environment with rapidly changing priorities. Passion for e-commerce and/or the Kids business is a plus.
Develop a cohesive, multi-channel marketing strategy for the Kids business based on customer persona insights, business trends and corporate priorities
Plan and manage all marketing activities to increase traffic, engagement, conversion, and ultimately meet/exceed annual revenue targets
Formulate integrated campaign strategies to support major brand events and strategic partnerships; coordinate with cross-functional teams on execution (Merchandising, Acquisition, CRM, Social, Analytics, Creative, Editorial, Business Development, Public Relations and Tech)
Partner closely with Creative and Editorial teams to formulate buzz-worthy campaigns, innovative sales concepts, and creative brand partner integrations
Oversee marketing calendar for the Kids division to highlight major sales, associated marketing tactics, and use of promotional real estate
Set and efficiently manage marketing budget dedicated to the Kids? business
Analyze and communicate performance of individual marketing campaigns, tests, and initiatives
Actively monitor and communicate insights on demand KPIs to drive better merchandising, marketing, and product/technology decisions
Present monthly overview to senior executives of past performance as well as upcoming marketing initiatives to support division?s revenue target
Develop and present pitch decks for major prospective brands, in partnership with Merchandising
Remain abreast of relevant market conditions and competitive trends, and craft recommendations for company?s response
Directly manage an Associate Marketing Manager
Minimum bachelor?s degree; MBA a plus
3-5 years experience in ecommerce, marketing and/or retail; 1-2 years experience in management consulting or investment banking a plus
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to problem-solve and conduct quantitative analyses
Outstanding project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with limited resources
Proven ability to lead and influence others to accomplish aggressive goals
Understanding of campaign performance metrics across online marketing channels including: SEO, SEM, Display, Social, Affiliate, and CRM
Experience in developing and executing creative briefs and strategic marketing plans
Ability to generate and quickly execute upon actionable recommendations based on syntheses and analyses of extensive data
Strong results-orientation, self-motivation, and high energy
Strong team-orientation and ability to collaborate with others in and outside of the business
Proficiency in Excel modeling, PowerPoint presentation development, and web analytics
