Senior Manager of Learning & Development MindBody Software
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This position is responsible for supervising a team of 4 with the design and delivery of training programs, processes, tools and measurement. This position is based at our home office in San Luis Obispo, CA and is responsible for our 800 team members located in CA, NY, London and Australia.
The selected individual will lead an innovative team to consistently focus on scale and international operations, while supporting MINDBODY?s customer-centric environment. Additionally, the incumbent will regularly consult with our business leaders to build curriculum in support of our strategic objectives, while promoting a climate of continuous development resulting in increased team member engagement and retention.
What you'll be doing:
Collaborate with functional department leaders to identify team and / or departmental skill gaps, determine appropriate learning and/or development solutions, and establish learning goals and objectives that are tied to key business outcomes.
Build processes to ensure global consistency and quality of the team?s learning experience.
Provide coaching and expectations to direct reports on career development and job performance on a quarterly, annual and informal basis.
Create scalable learning programs in a rapidly growing organization. Analyze the audience, content, technologies, operational constraints, and trade-offs associated with each method of delivery.
Communicate department objectives and set clear expectations and deadlines. Hire, lead and evaluate trainers to ensure delivery of the highest quality of content
Stay current on industry knowledge in the L&D field. Research and recommend current and future learning technologies including selection of online training systems.
Compile detailed analysis of past, current and future learning and development initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
Design certified 'Train the Trainer' programs for trainers, HR, and other designees to ensure quality and consistency of training materials.
Project financial impact of all proposed strategies and compare actual financial data against projections to ensure cost effectiveness.
Anticipate and plan for training needs of the business. Proactively consultant with direct reports and company supervisors to support departmental and company initiatives.
Continually evaluate solutions for quality, results and scalability. Leverage technology where appropriate to extend access and gain efficiency and operational flexibility.
Collaborate cross-functionally in collection, review and inclusion of material in company-wide publications.
Manage and communicate priorities among a diverse group of internal stakeholderss
Will deliver on the following and / or oversee staff delivery of in 2014:
Designing and creating of effective learning experiences, including writing, proofing, editing, and presenting materials for learning and development initiatives for entire staff.
Developing and maintaining teaching aids, such as handbooks, demonstration models, visual aids, eLearning, tutorials, user guides, help files and other supporting and training materials.
Delivering training via on-site, telephone, eLearning or remote using webinar presentations.
Develop e-learning, instructor-led, and blended learning to best meet audience's learning style.
Participating in department specific training with the intent of driving structured and consistent training processes.
Oversee the development of content for new and revised programs and collateral, such as- orientation, job skills, supervisory, customer service, and sales.
Introducing new team members to the company culture through a variety of sources, such as, modeling positive behavior, encouraging interactions that foster collaboration and engagement, training on the software and company.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Learning and Development (L&D) or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years? experience in the L & D field with hands on experience in content design aligned with business goals, training of content, ROI data evaluation and design improvements.
4 years? experience with supervising a team.
Global L&D experience is preferred, as is SHRM/ASTD certification(s).
Preferable experience working within software and contact center environments.
15 - 20% domestic and international annual travel.
Strong experience using analytical skills (e.g., ROI) in a training organization. Experience using and presenting data to make decisions.
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills; a role model for the use of the concepts and skills we teach and strong advocate for our Core Values.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as project management software, SharePoint, and e-learning development tools. Knowledge of database and internet based software.
