DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all tax compliance matters including the coordination and preparation of the consolidated Federal tax return and all related state/city/local returns.
Working with local personnel, coordinate and review all nonUS filings for accuracy and compliance.
Responsible for preparation and filing of all sales and use tax, property tax and state/local compliance.
Maintain Oracle/Vertex systems for sales/use tax .
Assist with VAT compliance including systems implementations.
Prepare consolidated quarterly and annual income tax provision and associated financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 including providing support to the preparation of foreign income tax provision calculations.
Proactively identify, document, update existing documentation and quantify tax positions including any uncertain tax provisions in accordance with FIN 48.
Develop and maintain tax policies and controls in support of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance
Identify and assist with development and implementation of worldwide tax planning strategies, including responsibility for transfer pricing arrangements
Provide strategic consultation and advice on proposed transactions, business structures and operational/legal/tax constructs in order to achieve optimal results. Assist in the design and implementation of such transactions and structures to ensure accuracy and compliance in the execution of adopted strategies.
Manage external auditors on tax accrual matters during annual audit and quarterly reviews
Work closely with US and nonUS accounting and finance personnel to streamline processes, support the business needs and goals of the organization, ensure accurate reporting and compliance in each jurisdiction.
Manage tax audits including examinations, representations, appeals and dispute resolution in a timely and efficient manner
Be a resource and problem solver for all tax matters, including but not limited to, US income, state taxes, nonUS and US withholding taxes, sales/use, payroll, VAT, business licenses, property taxes, capital stock taxes, etc.
Monitor legislative changes in US and nonUS jurisdictions that may impact the company?s tax positions, including tax accounting implications.
Manage outside consultants and advisors
Guide and assist with formation of new business locations including advice on entity type and structure
Assist with compliance and reporting for stock based compensation for tax and accounting purposes
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
BAS/BS Accounting and/or taxation
CPA, MBA (tax) preferred
Broad and global mindset
Experience with multinational, multistate software taxation, SaaS models preferred
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements. IFRS knowledge would be helpful.
Transactional experience with transfer pricing agreements and accounting
Attention to detail, organized and strong desire for continuous improvement
Ability to guide, instruct and assist business partners in tax matters
High integrity, team player
Excellent research and writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex issues and positions including presentation skills to both tax and non tax audiences
Project management skills and ability to influence and drive results
Strong international tax knowledge including permanent establishment, subpart F, foreign tax credit, transfer pricing, cash repatriation.
Confident, self starter with ability to work with minimal direction
Ability to thrive and in a fast paced environment
