Summary:
The Senior Manager, Order Fulfillment is results driven, dynamic, a quick study, a customer advocate and buys into the premise that Operations is a critical component in the sales cycle. This role require fulfillment and reverse logistics expertise in a leadership role that is accustom to working in an out sourced environment with manufacturing partners and 3PL. This role is required to drive excellent execution in the areas of on time shipping and delifor the Americas in the high 90s%.
This position must promote teamwork, resourcefulness, demonstrate the highest integrity, and challenge convention to improve Quality, Delivery and Cost.
This role is responsible for overseeing all order fulfillment and reverse logistics responsibilities for SafeNet within the Americas, including the relationships with our ODM /DOF and 3PL partners as related to order fulfillment and repair services.
The qualified professional will be a subject matter expert responsible for fulfillment, logistics and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes and work instructions utilized in the Americas. Acts as the point person to guide and help cross-functional groups in understanding of the Fulfillment and RMA processes. Will also be the department authority on the Oracle Logistics, Depot Repair and Inventory Management modules. This role is also responsible for partnering with a team of professionals who plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives across operations for all SafeNet products. Additionally, will identify process gaps, provide detailed reports, and maintain Daily Management KPI related to costs, delivery and accuracy of all regional shipments and material returned. Is responsible for the managerial duties of the Americas Fulfillment team.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor or the equivalent in combined education and professional experience required.
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years experience in Distribution/Logistics/Operations functional experience.
4+ years experience in RMA and Reverse Logistics management experience.
Supervisory/management level position(s).
Success in implementing Lean methodologies and tools a plus.
5-7 years in a fast-paced organization, technology or similar preferred.
Demonstrated ability establishing and maintaining work teams.
Oracle Enterprise Resource System or equivalent experience.
Oracle Depot Repair experience a plus.
Skills:
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Very strong organizational skills; ability to set priorities, and maintain multiple initiatives.
Demonstrated understanding of lean principals in fulfillment, 3PL, DOF and operational processes.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high-tech, multi culture environments.
Solid critical thinking, analytical and structured problem solving skills.
Excellent oral/written communication skills. Technical writing skills a plus.
Ability to form strong team-based relationships, including across business units with internal customers.
Ability to travel, including internationally, for periods of 1- 2 weeks away from home.
Computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office suite, Oracle and other applications in production, fulfillment, inventory management, and equipment repair.
Ability to work calmly, maintain a professional demeanor, produce results under pressure, and escalate to management appropriately.
High energy level and high degree of self-motivation.
Licensures, Certifications:
Six Sigma, Lean, TPS training preferred.
CPIM certification a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensures the accurate and timely shipping of materials, supplies and finished products within SafeNet Fulfillment Centers in the Americas, including execution by our third parties.
Hold our third parties accountable for meeting established goals and metrics, validating their root cause and corrective actions to improve performance.
Foresee and mitigate issues. Evaluate all phases of fulfillment and ensure defined systems and tools will guarantee successful fulfillment activities internally and through service providers.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and within prescribed systems to derive true root cause of customer shipment issues, and escalate to management accordingly.
Ensure material controls are in place for SafeNet owned inventory.
Provide Scrap Report validation.
Ensure the timely execution and acceptable turn-around times for RMA?s, teardown, rework and or replacement shipments as executed by our contract manufactures.
Tracks all Advanced Replacements shipped from any Americas contract manufacture, from order entry through customer dock delivery. Ensure 24/7 coverage for AR shipments, working within prescribed lead times, anticipating and mitigating potential production and transit delays to ensure customer satisfaction.
Identify and track sources of return material authorizations, ensuring processes and communication paths that support word class repair service. Document all processes and procedures for material returns.
Work with the CM?s to establish Master Tracking Report, and provide daily metrics to the organization that track volume, on time repair and other KPI.
Support key customer Service Contracts, maintaining replacement stock and repair times as indicated in customer Service Level Agreements.
Support quality engineering with customer support resolutions.
Manages personnel activities of Fulfillment Americas staff (i.e., hires, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary, etc.)
Recommend fulfillment policies and define processes and work instructions to ensure consistency, quality, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Ensure smooth, timely implementation of all new programs, products, software applications and software upgrades, including fulfillment processes and training of our third party service provider.
