About the Job
Nexant is seeking a Senior Marketing Assistant I for their Wheaton, IL office. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for client energy efficiency program marketing efforts. This position requires administrative, marketing, and communications experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative: Manage marketing team?s administrative activities for various client energy efficiency programs:
o Manage and track deadlines, project costs, vendors and other resources.
o Coordinate workflow and approvals of marketing materials from multiple internal and external parties.
o Support coordination, tracking, logistics and organization of events.
o Prepare and communicate marketing project status reports to project teams, which include marketing, internal and external clients.
o Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets and Word templates for reporting and tracking purposes.
o Assist with tracking, analyzing and generation of reports on efficacy of marketing campaigns.
o Maintain marketing material inventory for branch offices.
Marketing/Communications: Coordinate client relations, research and graphics activities as requested:
o Work closely with marketing team and interface with multiple internal and external clients to support energy efficiency program marketing campaigns (e.g., traditional direct, social media, e-blasts, PR, newsletters, etc).
o Assist with market research and content development for a wide range of consumer-oriented and technical marketing materials, such as fact sheets, newsletters, web content, presentations and infographics.
o Under the direction of supervisor and other marketing team members, develop and/or update marketing and sales collateral including datasheets, training documentation/presentations, forms, event flyers, etc. (InDesign and other Adobe Suite software programs will be utilized).
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree required (BA or BS) Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field.
Expert in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
2-4 Years of experience.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized and have strong attention to detail.
Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well with other departments and can communicate effectively and professionally with multiple levels of the company, as well as with clients.
Superior time management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to deliver on deadlines and manage a high-volume workload.
Polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
Experience with meeting/event planning, organization and successful execution.
Experience with Demand Side Management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability, and/or related programs/initiatives is a plus.
Basic knowledge of InDesign and/or ability to learn quickly is a plus.
