About the Job
Nexant is currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the design and development of strategies, plans and tools to support contract clients and engage industry network professionals. The successful candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a marketing capacity. Experience should include copy writing, utilizing design software, understanding of tracking and analyzing marketing metrics, business to business marketing strategies, collateral creation, creative development and customer interaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative - Manage marketing team?s administrative activities for various client energy efficiency programs:
o Manage and track deadlines, project costs, vendors and other resources.
o Lead and support coordination, tracking, logistics and organization of events.
o Prepare and communicate marketing project status reports to project teams, which include marketing, internal and external clients.
o Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets and Word templates for reporting and tracking purposes.
o Manage marketing material inventory.
Marketing/Communications - Coordinate client relations, research and graphics activities as requested:
o Work closely with marketing team and interface with multiple internal and external clients to support energy efficiency program marketing campaigns (e.g., traditional direct, social media, e-blasts, PR, newsletters, etc.).
o Must be able to write and edit copy.
o Assist and lead with market research and content development for a wide range of consumer-oriented and technical marketing materials, such as fact sheets, newsletters, web content, presentations and infographics.
o Working under the direction of supervisor and other marketing team members, develop and/or update marketing and sales collateral including datasheets, training documentation/presentations, forms, event flyers, etc. (InDesign and other Adobe Suite software programs will be utilized).
o Manage development and distribution of electronic newsletters
Bachelor?s degree required (BA or BS) Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field.
At least 2 years of marketing experience in a similar capacity
Working knowledge of ?In Design? Photoshop or other graphics program
Copy writing and copy editing experience, writing sample required
Understanding of online content development, HTML experience helpful
Advanced to expert knowledge of and expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with meeting/event planning, organization and successful execution.
Ability to effectively prioritize and deliver on deadlines is a must
Strong consensus building skills; must be a self-starter, highly organized and creative
Polished and professional presentation and reporting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must work well with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all levels of employees
Experience with Demand Side Management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability, and/or related programs/initiatives is a plus
