Senior Marketing Manager, Customer Retention & Acquisition Shazam
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Shazam Entertainment is seeking an Acquisition and Retention Marketing Manager with a passion for entertainment, mobile apps, and social media to help drive Shazam?s user acquisition and retention efforts. Your role is to manage direct-to-consumer acquisition and retention programs to successfully grow Shazam?s user base & maximize lifetime value. This role will implement best in class mobile user acquisition and retention strategies, tools, and techniques against Shazam?s core marketing objectives. Additionally, you?ll be measuring campaign performance by collecting and analyzing results and creating meaningful insights that influence marketing plans and strategies. The successful candidate is an entrepreneurial trailblazer, and can execute around big opportunities. You must be highly analytical, strategic, and have a proven track record in digital marketing and data-rich analyses.
The individual will gain exposure to many areas of the company including sales and business development, product development, product management, creative services and customer support. This role will be based in either New York City or Menlo Park, CA and reports to the Director, Consumer Marketing.
The following are the key responsibilities and deliverables expected of the successful candidate:
Own mobile and web demand generation and retention, manage campaigns and plans to successfully reach quarterly marketing acquisition and retention goals, optimizing where necessary to ensure targets are met
Identify marketing partners/platforms to support acquisition and retention plans
Implement best-of-breed, mostly non-paid, acquisition and retention programs across mobile and web channels, leveraging both Shazam?s marketing channels (email, social, web) and the channels, assets and resources of partners
Ensure Shazam has the right technology in place to execute campaigns, including programming, trafficking and QA?ing campaigns
Extract insight from campaigns via working with data team and marketing data analyst to track performance, generate reports, and ensure ongoing optimization
Manage weekly retention targets and key reports across Shazam?s most important platforms and countries
Rapidly develop a thorough understanding of our data collection methods to enable A/B and holdout group testing
Work closely with Product, Sales, Business Development, Engineering and the executive team to generate insights, solve acquisition and retention challenges, and inform business and product decisions by transforming data into knowledge.
Partner with broader organization to deliver on goals
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in acquisition/retention marketing, preferably in mobile
Strong understanding and experience with the iOS and Android marketplaces. Digital marketing and loyalty program experience are a big plus.
User acquisition and retention modeling experience
Outstanding body of work demonstrating high quality, innovative deliverables and an exceptional understanding of consumer mobile and internet behavior
Project management experience, especially coordinating/managing multiple projects at the same time. Candidate should have the capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and translate them into relevant data queries to inform direction and strategy.
Strong communication skills including copywriting and the ability to work across departments.
Well-versed in creative asset types appropriate for different mobile acquisition and retention channels and able to optimize creative by channel.
