The Sr. Marketing Manager ? Field Marketing is responsible for managing a team of field marketing managers who will create and execute regional/local and channel marketing programs that create awareness, generate leads, strengthen relationships, and otherwise assist the sales team in closing business with agencies, brands and retailers.
This position is based in MaxPoint?s corporate headquarters (Morrisville, NC), but will manage a team that is based in Chicago, New York and Morrisville, NC and operates in each of MaxPoint?s sales offices, including Dallas, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Bentonville (Ark.), St. Louis, Boston, Miami and Atlanta.
Manage the field marketing team as they collaborate with corporate marketing and sales leadership to create targeted local strategy and tactical plans.
Ensure the field marketing managers are leveraging corporate marketing resources (including design, content, events, branding, advertising, social media and public relations) into locally relevant executions.
Enable the field marketing managers to implement national marketing programs in the field and to develop local extensions and overlays.
Provide management and support as the field marketing managers assist sales in the development and execution of unique local and regional strategies that complement national promotions.
Act as the organization?s marketing resource for field marketing and a liaison between field marketing and the corporate marketing functions.
Manage and track spending for each of the regions and channels.
Evaluate the ROI of regional and channel activities and recommend actions to improve performance.
Assist in other marketing related activities as needed
5-7 years of Marketing/Promotions/Advertising/Communication experience required; field marketing or advertising agency experience preferred.
Bachelor?s degree required.
Must have experience managing a geographically dispersed team.
Must have strong leadership skills enabling effective management of the field marketing team and effective collaboration with colleagues and vendors.
Must have experience developing, executing and tracking marketing plans and competitive response activities.
Must have strong marketing, project management, and vendor negotiation skills; budget management experience preferred; enterprise and international marketing experience preferred.
Must be able to manage multiple deadline-driven projects.
Must have experience with CRM programs such as Salesforce.
Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be willing to roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile. Strong personal work ethic.
Must have a customer service mindset.
Must have excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as flexibility with similar alternative programs.
Needs to be a flexible, quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency.
Ability to travel as required up to 50% of the time.
