NetSpend Direct is an entrepreneurial business unit within NetSpend, with responsibility for growing the company?s online and direct-to-consumer business including all facets of customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and servicing customers through web and mobile platforms.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Online Acquisition will be our digital marketing champion. They will be responsible for the strategy and execution of several key online marketing channels: Paid Search, Display, SEO and Social. They will create unified experiences across device types including desktop, tablet and mobile. This role will be instrumental in driving profitable customer acquisition and revenue growth. This position is based in San Mateo, CA, and there will be occasional travel to NetSpend?s headquarters in Austin, Texas.
Paid Search - Manage paid search agency relationship for NetSpend and branded programs, providing strategic guidance, budgets, and tactical direction when appropriate. As the primary point of contact with the agency, you will be responsible for governing communication between internal branded program managers and the agency.
SEO - identify opportunities and develop campaigns and content that drive organic prospects to the NetSpend and branded program websites with the goal of converting them to customers.
Display - Test and scale display ad campaigns leveraging partners, ad networks and exchanges where appropriate. Find our target customers at the right time in the right place with the right ad ? this includes optimizing campaigns for device type as well. Work with analytics team to quantify the attribution display of other channels such as paid and organic search.
Social Media ? harness the explosive growth in social media marketing to find prospects in fun and engaging ways. This will require coordination and collaboration with the Social Media team.
Help develop great creative that converts ? Provide search ad copy ideas and guidance to agency for testing. Collaborate with digital campaign manager and design team, providing channel direction to develop high-performing direct response marketing assets including display ads, landing pages, and new web content, optimized for device type.
Own your numbers and exceed your plan - Manage acquisition channel budgets to monthly plan, identifying risks and opportunities for ROI optimization. Perform deeper-dive analyses when necessary to quantify new growth opportunities.
Be a an amazing team member - Work cross functionally with product, creative and development teams to ensure marketing campaigns deliver the most impact possible showcasing NetSpend?s suite of differentiated product features.
7 + years experience managing online acquisition programs (SEO, Paid Search, Display) in B2C business
Experience managing customer acquisition programs for a consumer service or subscription service is a plus
Quantitative wizard ? data geeks wanted; must be very proficient with Excel and be able to analyze campaign performance with the support of the data analytics team
Performance marketing oriented with proven results in driving new account/customer growth
Creative eye and sensibility ? while the quantitative skills are critical, so is the ability to know what kind of messaging and creative will delivery response and results
Strong knowledge and experience managing CPM, CPC, CPL and CPA based programs.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, where resourcefulness and initiative are highly rewarded
Knowledge of relevant online analytics tools and online marketing service providers/solutions
Detail focused with proven ability to execute and implement acquisition programs
