POSITION SUMMARY: The incumbent in this position is responsible for generating brand awareness and supporting marketing and sales efforts through the strategic management of InsideTrack?s online presence, email marketing, and market research. Responsibilities include:
Managing the InsideTrack website, blog, and other online properties, including leading the development of new features and content and managing internal support staff and website contractors.
Producing bi-weekly email bulletins (e-newsletters), summarizing higher education coverage in the popular press for various audiences.
Managing all email marketing and online advertising.
Managing analytics and reporting for the website, blog, email bulletins and online advertising and ensuring integration of appropriate data into a Salesforce.com sales database.
Synthesizing data from internal and external sources for use in marketing communications, including producing graphs using Excel and other tools.
Producing prospect-specific research reports ? such as Secret Shopper reports ? that assist sales directors in creating and advancing opportunities.
Managing and scheduling Marketing Assistants and outside contractors to support marketing efforts.
Researching, buying and implementing marketing technologies and tools.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Generate brand awareness and support marketing and sales efforts through the strategic management of InsideTrack?s online presence.
Manage the InsideTrack website, blog, and other online properties, including leading the development of new features and content and managing internal support staff and website contractors. Manage the company?s presence on social media and all online marketing. Conduct analysis and reporting to support strategic decision making, using website analytics tools, Saleforce.com and Excel. Ensure that the Marketing, Sales and Leadership teams have an accurate sense of prospect interactions with the website, blog and online ads via web tracking and campaign analytics.
Generate brand awareness and support marketing and sales efforts through the strategic management of email marketing.
Produce bi-weekly email bulletins (e-newsletters), summarizing higher education coverage in the popular press for various audiences. Create and manage unique email marketing campaigns. Conduct analysis and reporting to support strategic decision making, using Vertical Response, Saleforce.com and Excel. Ensure that the Marketing, Sales and Leadership teams have an accurate sense of prospect interactions with emails via tracking and campaign analytics.
Enhance the company?s brand and demonstrate thought leadership by producing original, research-based marketing and sales tools.
Conduct online surveys. Synthesize data from internal and external sources for use in marketing communications. Produce prospect-specific research reports ? such as Secret Shopper reports ? that assist sales directors in creating and advancing opportunities.
Streamline marketing and sales operations through the effective selection and application of technology
Identify ways to leverage technology to streamline marketing programs, engage stakeholders, track and measure interactions and otherwise support the goals of the Sales and Marketing teams. Evaluate, purchase and implement new technologies and train Marketing and Sales personnel to use them effectively.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years of experience in marketing, website management, project management, managing online/email campaigns and analytics/metrics.
Strong working knowledge of online technologies, including website content management (WordPress, Expression Engine), email marketing (Vertical Response), customer relationship management (Saleforce.com), website analytics (Google Analytics), web conferencing (Webex), and online survey (Survey Monkey) systems.
Strong project management and problem solving skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and experience leading project planning and delivery by coordinating requirements, priorities and resources.
Strong technical aptitude, with experience managing web developers, implementing online tools, and writing HTML.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret complex information.
Strong leadership skills. Experience managing small teams, setting standards, and developing new technical and research skills in others.
An interest in personal development, coaching, and higher education. Able to become familiar with industry knowledge in order to develop compelling prospect-targeted online content.
Familiarity with academic research methods, experimental design and statistical analysis.
PREFERENCES:
Experience working in fast growing startups is preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires occasional overnight travel to attend industry conferences or regional company meetings.
