Senior Marketing Manager High Throughput Genomics
HTG Molecular is seeking a senior marketing manager for its Tucson, Arizona office. The individual in this position will develop and implement the annual marketing plan for the diagnostics business unit, with considerable time spent working on new product development in a design control environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science degree in a chemistry/biochemistry/biology or like discipline and an M.B.A. degree or equivalent business and marketing experience. The successful candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and a background in IVD sales and marketing. Sequencing, ISH or PCR experience are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Develops, plans, monitors and implements the annual business unit marketing plan
Initiates and directs market research activities and analyzes summaries of results to recommend strategic direction, goals and objectives
Identifies market opportunities through developing and understanding competitor and market trends, including competitors? existing and proposed product portfolios, customer needs and wants, technology trends, etc.
Accountable for key marketing initiatives (CMRD, global commercialization, etc) on IVD product development core teams
Provides direction based on market-driven data to Scientific Applications, Marketing, R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, Business Development and Legal Departments to prioritize internal resources to capture short and long-term market opportunities.
Develops, justifies and manages budgets, revenue forecasts and investment plans to support market strategies and tactics.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Education/Training: B.S. degree in chemistry/biochemistry/biology or like discipline and an M.B.A. degree or equivalent business and marketing training/experience
Experience:
>5 years experience in IVD marketing
IVD product development experience (510(k) and/or PMA)
Strategic business planning experience
Molecular diagnostic experience strongly preferred
Pathology/oncology experience preferred
Sales experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of (position requirements at entry):
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), e-mail, CRM or ACT systems, and the use of the Internet.
Technical competency to understand and to clearly discuss applicable science, to stay current in technical knowledge of the field, and to build customer relationships
