Position Overview:
As a purely web-based software provider, Bullhorn's online presence is of fundamental importance to our business. Our goal is to have dynamic, compelling web and social media websites that engage customers and prospects, embody our brand, and drive our revenue growth. We seek a full-time web developer who can help us achieve these critical goals through the development/implementation of high quality, search engine optimized global websites.
Who you are:
You should have a job you like today building web front-ends, but you really want a better job, creating international award- winning websites for a well-known global leader in the software industry. You think about user flows, not just buttons and text boxes. You should be a digital native. You have had the following thought at least once in the last two weeks: "why did Facebook do it this way?" You are annoyed by confusing web sites and wish you could fix them. You're bummed that full HTML5 support in Firefox is still in beta. You appreciate when your work is found due to strong search engine optimization and understand what it takes to get found. You are reading this, thinking, I want to work with these people - they get it.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuously generate innovative ideas to grow and improve Bullhorn's online presence
Maintenance and updates to current Bullhorn web properties
Rapid development of new web sites, micro sites, and individual web pages
Coding/implementation of web designs utilizing Drupal content management system, following best practices for SEO, user interaction etc.
Measurement and analysis of web site performance
Qualifications:
A positive, innovative, energizing, collaborative work style
BS, ideally in computer science, engineering or graphic design
5+ years of website development experience, with a track record of developing high volume websites using Web 2.0 technologies and very strong CMS experience (ideally Drupal)
Proficient with XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, web standards, Javascript and HTML5
Solid understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and natural desire to make all websites fully optimize for search
Proficient in the use of Photoshop, Fireworks and other Adobe products
Familiar with Marketing Automation software (Silverpop, Marketo, Eloqua)
Ability to push website components to hosting provider (ideally cloud-based/Amazon) a plus
Familiarity with web analytics tagging and Google Analytics
Solid communications skills and an ability to clearly articulate and defend development decisions to a wide audience
Strong desire to create excellent user interfaces and some graphics design
Demonstrated ability to work independently but within a team environment and alongside an external design agency
Experience with flash banners and/or online video is desired but not required
