Senior Material Handler / Inventory Analyst - SAP Logistics
Pacific Biosciences is seeking a talented, driven, well-rounded and experienced Senior Material Handler / Inventory Analyst to assist with our stockroom and receiving activities in Menlo Park, California. The ideal candidate possesses the skill and vision necessary to play a role in the implementations of a scalable ?world class? materials management strategy for the company. They must also have a passion for Pacific Biosciences-relevant technology, experience in all aspects of stockroom processes, strong interpersonal skills for dealing with all levels of the organization, and a dedication to customer service.
The qualified candidate has demonstrated the ability to pursue innovative solutions based on an accurate assessment of business requirements. They must also ensure that, as the company grows, it meets or exceeds all industry, regulatory, and customer requirements for cost, quality, and responsiveness.
Because this is a start-up environment, the candidate must demonstrate the ability work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to fill a number of different roles as required by the needs of the moment. There is a requirement to work overtime when situations dictate.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Strategic Procurement.
The Senior Material Handler / Inventory Analyst the candidate will be accountable for:
Strategy
? Assist in developing and implementing a three-year strategic plan for the Stockroom Function.
? Play an active role in implementing scalable ?best practice? inventory control systems.
? Work with the Development team to establish processes for the smooth transition of new products from Development into Manufacturing.
? Play an active role in working with Finance, Quality, and Program Management to implement systems compliant with Sarbanes Oxley, ISO, and FDA.
Execution
? Responsible for receiving and processing incoming material, securely and safely storing materials, issuing material to work orders and other uses, ensuring that all necessary transactions are completed in the RP system, performing cycle counts, analyzing inventory discrepancies and other duties as assigned.
? Work closely with the other in the Operations team to implement ?best in class? systems.
? Perform assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all inventory control activities are executed to meet company business schedules and budgets.
? Contribute to changes which will directly contribute to reduced costs, enhanced efficiency, and other improvements.

Position Requirements:
? Extensive Experience in utilizing SAP ERP required.
? Ability to perform and analyze the transactions and reports required in the Logistics environment of SAP.
? A minimum of 10 years of experience in an ISO certified organization with experience in receiving, stockroom, material handling and inventory analysis roles. Experience in a life science environment working with temperature-sensitive materials is a plus.
? A self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. Possess the flexibility to take on work as required and use experience to respond creatively to evolving challenges.
? Experience in implementing, executing and improving cycle count programs, KANBAN systems, etc.).
? Large- and small-company experience, ideally in a rapid-growth manufacturing environment.
? Proven track record in successfully executing job duties accurately and efficiently and contributing to process improvements.
? Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Routinely engages in independent thought and judgment in analyzing problems and recommending methods and techniques for executing job duties in a more cost effective manner.
