Senior Mfg / Test Engineer (EN 217) Aurora Networks
Primary Responsibilities:
Duties include developing and documenting test plans and procedures for broadcast and narrowcast transmission systems, conducting testing, evaluating and documenting test results.
Support new product design, and sustaining engineering activities.
Responsibilities will include: coordinating, performing, and documenting tests which cover performance characterization, specification verification on new and existing products.
Coordinate engineering responses to customer and service issues.
Support the needs of engineering in development and transition of new products from engineering into manufacturing.
Provide engineering support to manufacturing including PCB redesigns and schematic changes, line downs, design margin issues and cost reduction projects.
The test engineer will be responsible for the continuous improvement and sustainability of the existing test systems in the area to help drive quality initiatives.
Sustaining engineering efforts will include circuit analysis to troubleshoot high-level quality issues and determining short-term and long-term solutions.
Required Education, Work Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EE, EET)
7-10 years technical experience in manufacturing and systems design
Strong understanding of analog, digital, and microcontroller circuitry design
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving techniques
Test system design and execution
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to problem solve and assist technicians on the debug bench
Science/Engineering background
Strong PC and database skills
Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
Strong analytical capabilities
Proficient in all basic Windows programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
