Senior Mobile Applications Engineer - Android Songbird

Responsibilities
Youll be working on Songbirds mobile applications, focusing on the Android platform.

You ideally have

- 5+ years of software development experience with a track record of delivering successful products and technologies
- 1+ years of application development experience on Android
- 1+ years of application development experience on at least one other mobile platform (iPhone, Windows Mobile, BREW, Symbian, etc.)
- deep understanding of Android platform APIs, Android UI Toolkit & layout managers, and SQLite
- thorough knowledge of complete mobile application development cycle including what it takes to ship mobile applications accommodating multiple device profiles and locales.
- developed and shipped Android app(s) available for download or preloaded onto mobile device (s)
- solid understanding of web and web-related technologies, formats, and protocols (XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, HTML/JavaScript, etc.)
- Java expertise
- strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates
- BS in Computer Science or a closely related field

And you get extra worms if you have

- demonstrable experience with relevant media formats, APIs, and protocols
- collaborated directly with mobile operators and/or OEMs to define, build, and/or customize mobile apps to meet their requirements
- shipped successful applications on non-Android mobile platforms
- C/C++/Objective C expertise
- experience with web and/or desktop application development
- download links to your shipping mobile app(s) and/or 3rd party reviews
- passion about your music and video; at home and on the go
