Good Technology is seeking a Senior Mobile Architect to join our Good For Enterprise Team. The ideal candidate will have experience leading the technical direction for mobile solutions, including working with iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great software, enjoys working with a team of talented developers, and who is eager to take on big challenges. This is a highly visible position directly reporting to the VP of Engineering. You will be guiding a team of talented architects and engineers to develop the next generation of secure mobile communication applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in complete mobile solutions, and is well versed in client technologies, server technologies, cloud systems, networking and security. You will be simultaneously striving to achieve the best security, best performance, and best user experience in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and document detailed architectures for mobile solutions on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone/Tablet platforms
? Collaborate with product management to translate product requirements to system level architecture and high-level designs that can be re-used across multiple applications and solutions
? Drive the process of researching, identifying and evaluating appropriate technologies (platforms, components, services) required for meeting company product development goals
? Work individually and collectively with the other product architects to ensure breadth and granularity of strategies, standards and reference architectures are consistent and well integrated across the product suite
? Contribute to the evaluation of potential technology adoption and acquisitions
? Implement and facilitate an agile methodology aimed to insure that re-usable patterns, components and methodologies are implemented and adopted across the engineering organization
? Enforce sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise mobile solutions
? Contribute and drive the overall look and feel of the product line through clean, efficient use of design standards and high performance optimization
? Think creatively and big picture, yet know how to make pragmatic tradeoffs
? Work with customers and field representatives to design new product features and product enhancements
? Foster an environment of consistent technical achievement and innovation for the growth and success of the team
Required Skills & Experience:
? Strong cross-domain and cross-functional knowledge that will enable design of the best possible technology solutions
? A deep understanding of the mobile technology landscape
? Ability to identify architecture components for reuse across the product suite
? Ability to achieve a high-level understanding of the business and the business priorities, strategies and current capabilities
? Ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders
? Excellent communication skills across all levels; ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources in clear concise language that is the parlance of each group
? A dynamic and engaging presentation style that commands respect inspires confidence and earns trust
? Demonstrated deployments of enterprise or consumer-facing mobile software systems using industry standard environments including iOS, Android, PhoneGap (Apache Cordova), and Windows Phone
? Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application frameworks, open source components and projects
? Experience with with multiple programing languages including Objective-C, Java, HTML5/JS/CSS3, .Net, C++, etc.
? Experienced in design and implementation of application programming interfaces (APIs) using SOAP and RESTful-style protocols
? Experienced in security and authorization protocols such as WS-Security, OAuth, and OpenId. Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management
? Experience with Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
? Strong knowledge of design and architecture patterns.
? Well versed in agile methodologies
? Experience with building both SaaS and on-prem software solutions
? Experience developing multi-threaded software
Educational Requirements:
? Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field
