Responsibilities
- Build awesome mobile games
-Effectively work in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
-Proactively work with product managers and other team members to identify and understand functional and technical requirements for new features and for feature enhancements.
-Analyze requirements and create highly innovative software designs and solutions.
-Develop quick prototypes, and proof of concepts to describe and demonstrate software designs.
-Build and deliver finished product that showcases solid craftsmanship and pleases end users.
-Participate in the software release and pre-release activities. Post-release activities include support for product launch.
-Investigate and fix product issues identified in released software.
Skills and Experience
- Built awesome mobile games
- BS/BA in EE, EECS, CS, MIS or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years of experience in design and development of mobile applications
- Experience engineering, releasing, and supporting Android applications
- Proficiency with Java, Python, Adobe Air
- Proficiency with ActionScript3 highly preferred
- Understanding of REST and JSON protocols
- Strong working knowledge of databases and web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, Javascript
- Experience with iterative development (Agile, Scrum or similar methodologies)
- Experience with ant scripting
- Experience with Ruby & Rails is plus
- Experience with maven is plus
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Work as part of a team during implementation and deployment process
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and high growth environment
- Experience at startups, willingness to tackle problems outside of prior expertise
