Senior Mobile UX Designer mPortal
Job DescriptionmPortal is looking for a McLean, VA based Senior Mobile UX Designer that will work with multiple groups within the software delivery organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with contributing to multiple mobile software solutions running concurrently and providing feedback internally on design status. The Senior Mobile UX Designer will be engaged in customer facing meetings and brainstorming sessions as well as act as an internal advisor with other mPortal teams. The Senior Mobile UX Designer will be actively managing mobile development design and collaborating with both on-shore and off-shore teams.
In addition to design capabilities, this position requires an outstanding grasp of mobile solution trends and technology. The successful candidate is expected to lead and participate in design discussions related to user experience and user interface. Maturity, judgment, influence and leadership skills are all essential.

Additional Job Responsibilities Include
Mobile app creation on iOS and Android
Develop and maintain mobile design mockups, user flows, detailed specifications and other design documents.
Act as a key liaison with the customer product team to define user interfaces and interaction styles to result in improved user experience and higher engagement on the client?s mobile products
Translate the customer?s product goals into cutting edge design concepts,
mobile ingenuity, dynamic navigation, and intuitive user experience
Responsible for all stages of user experience design throughout the
product or feature enhancement development cycle to ensure a compelling
presentation that meets branding, business and user needs
Work closely with other members of the mobile development and mobile
project management team to include all design aspects of the product feature set within time requirements
Ability to lead, collaborate, and delegate in a team environment with both local and remote team members
Experience Requirements
MA in Graphic Design or similar preferred
4+ years of smart phone design (Android and iOS preferred)
Well-versed in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software
Must possess strong graphic creation and design skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Passionate about mobile solutions
Experience leading a team is preferred
