Job Summary
The Senior .NET Developer is responsible for analyzing requirements, designing, developing and implementing systems in support of MedVentive?s product goals in a commercial software development environment. This role will provide mentorship to team members as well as actively participate in development teams. The Senior .NET Developer is expected to be proficient in areas such as software configuration management, release planning, and establishing and improving development methodologies. This role will work daily on common development issues, such as architecture decisions, design patterns, coding standards and recommendations, and design and code reviews. This position requires working with development and testing teams both on and off-shore.
This is a hands-on position in a dynamic start-up atmosphere. Must be a self starter who can take a problem and methodically decompose it into component pieces and provide solutions or recommendations for the solution and will participate as a senior developer on project tasks.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Worked in a product development company in a development capacity
Worked as a IT/development consultant for a named consulting firm
Experience (from one or both of the above jobs) in the health care industry
Worked in an ASP environment
Knows SQL, .NET, and C / C#
Participated in developing software that runs on a production schedule (i.e. large scheduled batch runs with deadlines enforced by SLAs)
Worked with offshore teams
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 8 Years related IT/ development experience.
Must have worked on software projects that were delivered to a customer other than the internal customers within the same company.
Prior IT or development consulting experience (preferably in health care, but will consider replacing consulting experience with substantial healthcare experience).
Experience required in one the following: Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, Transact-SQL or PL/SQL
Experience in a formal development methodology (e.g. AGILE) a plus
Experience with SSIS is required.
Experience developing and supporting ASP.net programs is required.
Experience in PERL a plus
Demonstrated analysis and data-driven problem solving skills
Experience with healthcare industry including requirements gathering and/or systems analysis a big plus
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong quantitative skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or EE or related discipline (Master's preferred)
