PLA is seeking a Senior Network Administrator at our Sacramento office to help us to grow our Managed Services Group. This technical position will be responsible for providing support to clients in an environment that gives them access to a small to mid-size class level of support.
Our Network Administrator role will allow you to provide technical support to clients and assist Senior IT Consultants in various IT projects. This role will provide a challenging environment where your creative problem solving skills and great customer service mantra will allow your career to grow within our expanding environment. Below is an overview of the skills utilized in this role to produce success.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Answer customer calls and provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 support for technical issues
Enter tickets into the trouble ticketing system
Assist Senior IT Consultants with various IT projects
Monitor and maintain client networks to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
Other duties as required
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Expert troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
Highly proficient in desktop IT technologies (Windows XP thru Windows 8, Mac OS X, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Installation, Configuration and Administration
Small Business Server 2003/2008/2011 Installation, Configuration and Administration
Microsoft Exchange 2003 thru 2013 - Installation, Configuration and Administration
Setting up a firewall, configuring rules, site-to-site VPNs, etc. (Watchguard + SonicWall)
Solid understanding IP addressing and subnet masks
Solid understand of other basics like: DHCP, DNS,NAT
Experience with Kaseya (Highly Desirable) or other RMM systems.
Hyper-V / VMWare experience
SQL Server administration
