The Role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will analyze, design, build, and control our network infrastructure and application components. This role will also be a key participant in the network architecture evolution by providing direction around configurations and installations.
Responsibilities:
Evaluation and complete understanding of our network, including DNS, security, IP routing, etc.
Setup and maintain servers and network firewalls and security appliances
Monitoring multi-site network operations
The successful candidate for this role will have the following attributes:
8+ years of related experience with cloud operations is required; this includes experience with high volume/high traffic web sites
5+ years of experience with RedHat, automation, and cloud tools
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, mullticast, networking and DNS
Linux OS experience
Strong Scripting experience in shell, Perl, or Python
Working knowledge of security related technologies such as encryption, IPsec, VPNs and firewalls
Experience working with web, application, and network security techniques
MYSQL and Cisco IOS experience a plus
Virtualization and vSphere experience a plus
Experience with process automation using scripting languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated history of solving real-world problems
Demonstrated success working with small or 'startup' firms is highly desired
BS, MS, in Computer Science or related discipline
