Senior Network Engineer Scivantage

Requirements:The candidate must have the demonstrated ability to design, configure, implement, test and capacity plan network and interlinking infrastructure within a 7x24 mission critical production environment, as well as for our back office development, QA and office support environments. This includes the ability to create, implement and test security schemes which meet the requirements of our clients and firm.
Specific device experience required includes IP networking and routing within N+1 / N+N redundant ISP and private networks, F5 BigIP load balancers / SSL engines, VLANs, VPNs, NetScreen firewalls, Cisco firewalls, routing protocols, eigrp, bgp, ospf Cisco IOS, L2 / L3 switches and routers, security design, snmp based monitoring tools including Nagios, Cricket, MRTG, Unix network monitoring and diagnostic shell commands, Syslog for aiding network problem diagnosis, shell scripting for specialized monitoring and alerting, and MSP-based SCCP VOIP. Production, development and QS server infrastructure utilizes Solaris and Linux, Apache, BEA Weblogic, and Oracle.
In addition to network infrastructure, there will be projects involving other infrastructure group members, client deployment teams and at times, clients them selves. As such, this senior position requires excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, ?can-do? attitude, tempered by good project and time management skills. The candidate must have demonstrated abilities in creating effective project plans which may include work efforts outside of her/his own direct skill area, a history of on or ahead of time and on or below-budget delivery of project objectives, and good writing skills, as well as effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project for documenting, reporting and project management.

Travel: Trips to local data center are occasional, long distance travel is rare.
