Ellie Mae, a rapidly growing public/SaaS company seeking to hire a skilled Senior Network Engineer, to play a vital role in the authoring of technical design, engineering, planning, implementation, migration and troubleshooting for our SaaS Offerings. Candidates should have a ?Can do? attitude and strong analytical skills.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the high level strategic design of the network, implementation deployment, and highest level of technical escalation for network resolution. The role will be a hands-on technical role, requiring the ability to multitask, prioritize, and accomplish multiple concurrent projects, serve as network lead and mentor, as well as interface with other departments and executives.
Provide training, documentation and process updates on an on-going basis
Recommend appropriate technical solutions to management with regard to, technical and business needs.
Troubleshoot and solve escalated network issues that impact the services or project deliverables
Document, update and maintain network equipment
Willing to work, and be on call for support.
Must be willing to work and trouble network emergencies should they arise.
Skills & Experience:
10+ years? experience in network engineering
3-5 years? experience in an a hosted ASP or SaaS environment
Strong experience with all aspects of planning design implementation and operation
Experience with Cisco ASR, Nexus, and ASA products
Experience configuring and deploying Juniper SRX firewalls
Experience setting up and deploying multiple datacenters.
Analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Experience supporting applications hosted in multiple data centers
Demonstrated capability to triage and multitask effectively
VoIP, and QOS experience required.
Proficient with network monitoring protocols SNMP, RMON, Netflow, and network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, cacti, rancid
Advanced knowledge of routing and switching extensive experience with OSPF & BGP
Familiar with remote access products such as Cisco any connect and Juniper SA/MAG products
Splunk experience a plus
CCIE or JNCIE strongly preferred.
