Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Network Administration and Design: Administer and design internal and public facing networks, including: Routers, Layer 3 Switches, Firewalls, VPN, etc.
IT Infrastructure: Support/maintain/troubleshoot/upgrade all IT infrastructure systems, including Active-Directory, Group Policy, Exchange 2007/2010, SharePoint, as well as other Enterprise Level servers and client based network printers, desktops, laptops, and network equipment
Security: Assess and remediate security vulnerabilities, regularly monitor security and usage logs
Process Development and Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for multi-site backups and disaster recovery
Operate and configure Storage Area Network (SAN)
Assess and monitor existing systems and recommend technical/service improvements, such as performance upgrades, user experience improvements, capacity extensions, etc.
Administer and maintain multi-host, multi-site VMware vSphere ESXi environment
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to on-site and remote employees, including corporate software installs, printer setup, workstation setup, and extensive diagnosing of desktop/laptop software/hardware problems
Conduct scheduled off-hours maintenance/upgrades
On-call; Response to off-hours emergencies
Skills:
VMware vSphere/ESXi design and administration
Excellent organizational skills, strong initiative to improve processes and attention to detail
Storage Area Network (SAN) design and administrationAdministration of DNS and DHCP
Administration of Group Policy to service domain automation and security regulations
Mobile device allocation and management
Mgmt of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 servers in multi-domain Active Directory architecture
Development and management of central virus signature distribution server
Must be able to carry and move up to 50 pounds of IT equipment
Must have excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience hands-on experience in:
Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN) operations.
Experience managing server infrastructure and client devices with Microsoft System Center.
Experience with corporate antivirus solutions.
Business continuity planningNetwork administration, configuring layer 3 switches/routers.
Configuring dynamic and static routing to resiliently interconnect multiple sites.
7+ years? experience in Tier 2 and Tier 3 Help Desk, Change Control, Software Distribution, and Asset Tracking, workflows and best practices within an IT department
Comprehensive knowledge of network administration practices and routing & switching principles and procedures
Strong understanding of virtualization architecture principles and best practices
Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery best practices
Expert knowledge (5+ years) of Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 including all points of installation
Certifications:
CompTIA Network+ certification (preferred)
MCSE (preferred)
CCNA (preferred)
CCNP (preferred)
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent
