Senior Network Security Engineering Consultant RedSeal Systems
PositionSenior Network Security Engineering Consultant with solid knowledge of network security and enterprise software implementation, responsible for providing Professional Services in a broad variety of customer engagements. Work closely with customers, to understand their network environment and security requirements. Guide and manage customers through RedSeal security posture management product implementation. Train customers on the RedSeal solution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting into the Vice President of Services, the Senior Network Security Engineering Consultant will be responsible for
- Implementing and integrating the RedSeal security posture management enterprise software into the customers security and risk management processes
- Helping customers design and implement effective RedSeal solutions involving both technical and operational factors
- Managing the various customer organizations and stakeholders to ensure effective and timely implementation in alignment with objectives
- Developing solutions that address the security posture, regulatory compliance and risk management needs of companies and organizations across all market segments
- Developing custom solutions for various integration points and reporting around the RedSeal product suite
- Training customers on the operation and use of the RedSeal product suite and network security best practices
- Researching enterprise software, networking and security technologies in order to successfully address the latest network security and reporting scenarios
- Developing use cases within the RedSeal product suite to effectively address network security scenarios
- Working with RedSeal product management and engineering to develop customization, integration and feature enhancements
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of experience in the internetworking industry with the following skills and experience
- Solid knowledge and strong understanding of
o Contemporary networking and security technologies including routing, firewalls and load balancers
o Contemporary network architectures including enterprise, e-commerce, financial and service provider
o Security architectures and scan/vulnerability systems
o Web and network security exploits, intrusion prevention/ intrusion detection systems, network traffic analysis, network authorization infrastructure, networking protocols, routing protocols and routing table configuration assignment, network servers, VPN gateways, , vulnerability scanners, configuration of authentication, authorization and directory services
- Experience deploying enterprise software solutions in complex environments including managing various customer organizations and stakeholders to the intended outcome
- Hands-on experience in Network Administration and Management
- Solid experience in Network Security and Risk Management, Vulnerability Assessment and Regulatory Compliance
- Hands-on experience in solving technical security problems including policy and procedure review and implementation
- Hands-on experience configuring/administering firewalls, routers, switches, security devices, CMDBs, SIM/SEM, and network servers
- Experience addressing compliance regulations such as PCI, SOX, FISMA, HIPAA
- Development of scripted tools and java programming
- Ability to solve technical problems and exercise sound judgment reflective of business reality
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an orientation to customer satisfaction
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
Education and Qualifications
The following education and qualifications are highly desirable
- BS/BA or MS in computer science or equivalent
- CISSP, SANS-GIAC or other security industry recognized certifications
- CCNP, CCIE with concentration on network switching and security or other network industry recognized certifications
Travel
Extensive travel is required.
