SENIOR OPERATIONS ENGINEER NextBio

Position Overview/Responsibilities:
This person will be a member of multiple teams and will be responsible to deploy hardware and software solutions to maintain our fast growing web application infrastructure/environment(s). The person will be a storage and network guru. Provide technical services to internal and external users, resolving outages as required, troubleshoot complex solutions/environments.
Required Experience:

Experience with multi-site networks.
Large scale storage experience (NAS / SAN, SSD, HSM, backups).
Experience with complex, high-volume networking, including architecture, advanced diagnostics, and switching and routing protocols.
Expertise in administering Linux/Unix environments in a business critical production environment.
Experience with capacity planning, cloud technologies (Azure, Amazon).
Significant training and experience in network security practices.
Experience building, supporting, troubleshooting multi-tier, high volume, production web installations.
Extensive scripting skills (Bash, Perl, ...).
MySQL, HBase, cloud & distributed computing experience a plus.
