Senior Opto-Mechanical Technician OEwaves
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities of the Senior Opto-mechanical Technician: position requires fabrication, quality control, performance characterization and testing of novel electro-optic and micro-photonic components. Implementation and completion of process work requests and planned production jobs, for which complete documentation must be written and maintained. The Senior Technician will also support a team of scientists and engineers in the development, fabrication, and packaging solutions of opto-mechanical and opto-electronic devices, and in methods of scaling technology prototypes to pilot quantities. The position requires maintaining all clean room areas clean and periodic wiping of workbenches, equipment and other clean room items.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidate must have five years of experience in fabrication, measurement and characterization methods of optical components and optical materials. In addition, experience with fiber optics/integrated optics and packaging methods, and familiarity with machining and test and measurement equipment is highly desirable. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
