Metratech is seeking either a Senior or Principal User Experience Designer to join a growing UX team for the Metanga cloud monetization platform. The Metanga UX team is responsible for designing the end-to-end customer experience of a cloud-based web applications that helps businesses move to the cloud and effectively manage products and services they sell online. As a critical system in billing, the UX team is tasked with designing an application that empowers users to understand more about their business and delights them every time the log into the application. As a leader on the UX team, you will need to be creative, flexible, and be able to wear many hats in the user centered design process. You will be part of a fast paced agile development process that is responsible for working with all types of stakeholders (UX, Marketing, Development, Sales, Executives) to drive the design, iteration, and usability testing of new and existing features destined for Metanga. Working on Metanga, you will be helping shape the future for ease-of-use of next generation enterprise clouds applications.
Responsibilities:
Work with Product Owners to define requirements of new and existing features within the application
Produce low and hi fidelity prototypes of workflows and application pages
Rapidly iterate designs to optimize usability in an agile development process. Create multiple design solutions to explore different design approaches to the same problem.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, QA, marketing, and product management to deliver a user experience that delights customers
Conduct usability testing with existing customers and prospects to get feedback about prototypes and future functionality
Lead and contribute to the creation of UX Patter Libraries and Style Guides
Ability to conduct and manage efforts in user research and competitive analysis
Create personas and use cases to be used by team to help stakeholders understand the customers who are using the product
Ability to create visually stunning graphics and web designs a plus
Qualifications:
5-7+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or Information Architect for either software or web applications.
MS preferred, BA/BS required in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
Online portfolio or work samples demonstrating your role in the user-centered design process. Be able to illustrate the evolution of a design from concept to release to feedback from customers or end users.
Ability to prototype in HTML/CSS/Javascript is required.
Expert understanding of user experience best practices, UI patterns, visual design, interaction design, and accessibility
Advanced knowledge of front-end and web browser limitations and differences
Extensive experience using low and hi fidelity prototyping tools like Balsamiq, Mockingbird, Mockflow, Visio, Omnigraffle, Axure, or other similar tools
Experience working in a collaborative team environment and working directly with developers, product owners, sales and marketing for feedback and ideas about designs
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Familiarity with enterprise software and the agile development process is a plus.
