About the Job
We are seeking a Senior Outreach Representative for the Los Angeles area. This is a telecommuter position with 30% of the time spent in our Placentia office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate projects from initial customer interest through to completion.
Identify potential energy savings strategies and projects at customer sites
Deliver effective sales presentations and respond to questions and inquiries from industry professionals in an accurate and timely manner
Network and partner with trade allies, service providers, utility representatives, account managers, channel partners, key industry contacts and end users to identify potential rebate opportunities
Maintain a formal network of industry players and be a key resource for service providers and trade allies who leverage the rebate programs to promote and sell energy efficiency to commercial customers
Utilize an understanding of business operation costs associated with operating and maintaining facilities in order to develop and propose energy efficiency projects
Conduct training seminars to educate stakeholders on rebate programs logistics, technologies, best practices and new developments in the marketplace
Review proposed upgrades/designs for appropriateness and eligibility for utility incentives
Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of baseline and replacement equipment/systems
Identify and focus on market segments capable so as to maximize energy savings with the most efficient and cost effective approach
Develop and maintain individual and team strategies for reaching sales, program targets and other business related objectives
Establish and maintain a professional client rapport, including identifying and anticipating client needs and proposing solutions
Maintain an active project pipeline to assure goals and objectives are consistently met
Properly and accurately address client concerns to assure problem resolution and promote long term productive relationships
Understand the organization and decision making process in order to work with stakeholders in determining project eligibility, schedule and potential energy savings.
Communicate and coordinate project activities with utility representatives, end users and other stakeholders, as needed
Consistently meet or exceed program expectations related to sales, marketing, communication, client satisfaction and other key performance indicators
Motivate and guide employees through leadership to meet and exceed departmental goals and objectives and instill a culture of professionalism, customer care and excellent product knowledge
Other duties, as required
Bachelors or Master?s degree. Candidates without these degrees but years of experience in technical sales, energy efficiency or technical education and industry experience will be considered
Experienced in Industrial Sector with a strong background in Commercial, and Retail sectors
5-7 years proven experience in working in the sales, account management, marketing project management and/or with utilities
Must have a proven background working independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and the ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required
Experience in conducting public speaking events/training
Ability to communicate, council, and sell concepts at all levels of an organization
Ability and comfort using small tools, ladders and power equipment
Must have a valid U.S. driver?s license and have a personal vehicle to visit customer sites
Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast pace environment
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
