Job Duties:
Process semi-monthly payroll for salary and hourly employees
Process termination and severance payments
Report new hires to appropriate organizations
Monitor, update and process all wage garnishments
Process and fund 401K plan
Assist in preparation data for worker compensation and 401K audit
Maintain highly organized payroll records and employee files
Manage time keeping process to ensure employees to submit timesheets on time
Manage Concur expense report process
Customer service for payroll, time keeping and expense report relate
Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations
Assist in audit and SOX 404 testing support as required
Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting
Hands-on and complete monthly close procedure for payroll
Job Requirements:
Experience using ADP Software Products strongly preferred.
Education: AA or BA degree in accounting/payroll required.
2 years plus experience of high volume payroll processing including stock compensation and ESPP
Experience in time keeping, and expense reporting is preferred
Proficiency in accounting and payroll functions including vacation accrual and bonus accrual
Highly analytical with a strong working knowledge payroll protocols, rules, and software packages
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and other Office software
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on tight deadlines
General knowledge of accounting principles including taxes and accruals
Understanding of general ledger accounts and how they relate to Payroll & Accounts Payable
Knowledge of wage garnishments, unemployment claims, state disability claims, and tax reporting
Proven success in leading process improvements to the payroll process
Solid understanding and experience with SOX as it relates to payroll
