Role Profile
The Senior Performance Analyst (PA) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities associated with delivering MedeAnalytics? hosted business analytics services. Working directly with a Client Success Manager on multiple accounts, the Senior PA will provide support for the successful execution of all client services, including implementation, training, enhancements, and ongoing support. The focus of their work is on large acute-care facility processes and technology that span the account revenue cycle. This position will report to the Regional Director of Client Success Management in Dallas, TX and will be a key role in a rapidly evolving customer-based services organization. The candidate must be a highly organized, self started, and energetic person who can think strategically, translate business objectives into project plans, and execute with precision.
The Senior PA uses established procedures and methodologies when possible, but must be able to develop new procedures and methodologies when work situations require. The position requires the ability to analyze work flows,set priorities to insure timely completion, and work with software engineers to provide the best solution for the given business objective The Senior PA receives moderate supervision during initial assignments, and is expected to work with increased independence over time. The Senior PA may be responsible for supervision of other MedeAnalytics personnel.
The Senior PA works closely with client executives and operations professionals, including staff physicians and nurses, along with personnel in Admitting & Registration, Medical Records, Finance, Patient Accounting, Quality Assurance, Case Management, Information Systems and other departments throughout the hospital and integrated delivery network. Contacts frequently contain confidential/sensitive information necessitating discretion at all times. Interactions will range from routine to complex and include presentations, one-on-one and group discussions. Oral and written communications are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with Regional Director & Client Success Manager to support all aspects of the MedeAnalytics solution and services:
Understands MedeAnalytics tools and client IS system functionality
Manages technical aspects of the client update process to ensure application is properly updated & operational for client usage
Utilizes and adapts methodologies and tools to typical and complex situations, circumstances and new requirements
Leads data analyses by insuring efficient data collection, instructing on analytical choices and summarizing conclusions and recommendations
Performs client business analytics of solution data to assist the Regional Director and Client Success Manager in identifying opportunities for return on investment
Assists the Professional Services team as required during application enhancements, new product implementations, and/or application upgrades
Assists Client Success Manager as required with Product enhancement requests, development, testing, and/or final delivery to client
Completes routine business application configuration changes as needed by effectively communicating with Software Engineers
Monitors customer utilization and develops strategies to increase usage and adoption of the application within the account
Develops tracking tools to measure project progress and to measure benefit provided to clients
Continually assesses, documents, and analyzes client successes through outcomes-based measurement achieved with process redesign and/or solution adoption
Establishes relationships with hospital revenue cycle, clinical quality and compliance supervisors and analysts to foster continuous collaboration to meet the client?s business needs
Establishes credibility within the client organization to facilitate the change process
Guide clients to utilize business intelligence through change management processes to execute financial, clinical and operational improvements
Effectively handles client and Client Success Team interactions
Communicates progress, difficulties and solutions that reflect ability to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances
Makes presentations to clients and MedeAnalytics staff that demonstrate full command of factual material
Effectively directs, coaches, motivates and evaluates junior analysts
Other responsibilities and functions as required
Essential Skills, Experience and Education:
Strong performance in achieving a Bachelor?s or equivalent degree specializing in health care administration, economics, industrial engineering, math, accounting or business
Previous experience with a consulting firm, healthcare industry experience, and/or clinical experience is required
Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle best practices, processes, and policies
Solid hands-on experience in project and system development lifecycle
Strong understanding of project management methods, processes, standards, and tools
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the development of customer reports, proposals, presentations and training/communications materials
Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
Functional design and data analysis skills
Outstanding problem solving and organizational skills
Previous experience with a hosted software solution or ASP based model a plu
This position requires strong personal computer skills (Excel, Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office), analytical skills (problem solving, quantitative, work flow process, etc.), and the ability to demonstrate proficiency and comprehension of MedeAnalytics tools
Financial analysis experience is desirable
Requires use of independent judgment, discretion and decision making abilities.
Must possess negotiation, presentation, selling, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and persuade clients
Requires ability to work in team environment, be creative and mentor and train others
Advanced English language skills (reading, writing and comprehension)
Job Conditions:
Position may require travel (40-50%) and overtime
Position requires a valid driver?s license and must have access to personal transportation
Workspace is often limited during travel
