Senior Photonic/Optical Engineer Menara Network
SUMMARY We are seeking a Photonic/Optical Engineer who is a self-motivated, creative problem solver to characterizer optical components and to be a key member in the development of high-speed optical transceivers and systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Optical or Electrical Engineering or Physics with 5 years of relevant work experience.
Hands-on experience with optical equipment (DCA, network analyzer, wavelength meters, BER equipment, spectrum analyzer, filter, optical amplifiers, etc)
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience with optical component characterization and specification.
Previous experience with APD ROSA, EML TOSA, and Tunable transmitters.
Previous experience characterizing high-speed laser drivers, multiplexers and demultiplexers.
Strong background with engineering processes, design and testing methodologies.
Previous Labview experience is a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Characterize high-speed optical components and transceivers for telecommunication (10Gb/s and higher)
Characterize optical system level performance (OSNR, dispersion, etc).
Perform evaluation, selection, and specification of optical components.
Conduct engineering and design verification testing (EVT and DVT) and assist in transferring products to production.
