Senior Platform Applications Engineer Link_A_Media Devices
Job descriptionThe successful candidate will perform various performance tests on eMMC, SATA, PCIE Solid State Drives on customer platforms. Responsibilities include defining validation strategies and plans, selecting the diagnostic software & tools for system test, component qualification, performing system- level validation tests and debug test failures.
Resposibilities also include writing technical paper, application note, user instruction, participating in project conference calls and conducting necessary technical training internally or externally.
The engineer may travel to customer sites to understand customers' requirements and perform system level tests with customers, and will perform technical support to sales and marketing teams for design-win and market exploration.
Desired Skills & Experience
BSEE/CE/CS with 2 years' experience in PC/embedded system or silicon validation and/or firmware/software development
Good hardware understanding of CPUs, Motherboard, PCI/PCIE SSD/HDD. Intel and AMD processors experience preferred.
Capable of initiating, developing and executing test plans that verify product performance on various customer platforms
Experience debug tools (in-system processor probes, compilers/linkers, debuggers, source control systems, bug tracking tools)
Prior experience in storage of driver development for windows/Linux platforms is a plus.
Programming skilss using C / C++, Python, Perl
Experience with manufacturing process/test/envoronment is a strong plus
Strong written and oral communicaiton skill in English
Willing to work in a multi-tasking, fast pace, team oriented working environment.
