wireless semiconductor OEM's, handset OEM's, Network Equipment OEM's and Mobile Operators.
Azimuth?s real world test solutions enable research, development, QA and marketing engineers to test
the performance, conformance and certification of broadband wireless devices and networks
supporting data, voice and video applications.
The candidate will work with a small team of Hardware, FPGA, and DSP and firmware / software
developers to implement major new product features. As part of a product development team, this
candidate will be actively involved with product development activities including design, development,
coding and testing of HDL for large scale FPGAs and hardware for wireless test equipment products.
? Works closely with Principal and Senior Hardware, FPGA, and DSP engineers in developing HDL for
signal processing in FPGA based platforms.
? Work includes designing, implementing, and testing advanced digital signal processing techniques in
Xilinx FPGAs which are targeted for the LTE marketplace.
? Architect FPGA designs and clearly define design choices/tradeoffs to meet product requirements.
? Develops FPGA test benches and unit test using Matlab and Modelsim.
? Writes detailed FPGA documentation using tools such as MS Office and Visio.
? Employs strict source control using GIT.
? Adheres to aggressive deadlines and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
? Works within a cross-functional team to meet Engineering and business goals.
? MSEE/CS preferred, BSEE/CS Required
? A proven track record of 8-10 years of experience in DSP ASIC or FPGA development.
? The candidate should have a strong understanding and experience in the architecture, design,
implementation, test, and verification of FPGA centric embedded systems.
? Experience with one or more of the following is required: DSP, wireless transmission and channel
models, digital communication, and telecommunications standards such as LTE, 3GPP, OFDM or
Azimuth Systems, Inc.

? Knowledge of DSP implementations in FPGAs including sampling & rate-resampling theory,
interpolation/decimation techniques, filtering, etc. required.
? Previous experience designing and implementing an LTE or 3GPP FPGA, extremely desirable.
? Candidates with previous experience designing/implementing high data rate digital
receivers/demodulators, especially targeted toward LTE or 3GPP technology, will be considered first.
? Experience working at a wireless chip set vendor performing a similar role, highly preferred.
? Strong understanding of Xilinx?s tools flow using ISE and Vivado Design Suite
? Working knowledge of Xilinx V6/V7 devices architectures.
? Experience with MATLAB, Simulink and/or HDL Coder very desirable.
? Experience in writing driver level "C" code and APIs for interfacing to the FPGA a strong plus
? Experience with test equipment such as Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers,
Network Analyzers, Base Station Emulators and other equipment associated with the design and
development of Cellular Radio Access Network products a strong plus.
? Proven experience in commercial product development ? must have been in a product development
role within the last year.
? Exceptional organizational skills: planning, follow-through, ability to manage details.
? Experience working in a startup environment a plus.
